World Environment Day is a perfect opportunity to promote awareness about the importance of the environment and take action to protect it. 

With the blessing of Honourable President Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj  and guidance of Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr )Yashbir Dewan, School of Agricultural Sciences  organized a plantation derive at Vikasnagar Tea estate and two adopted village (Khushhalpur and Laxmipur). Planting trees not only helps combat climate change but also improves air quality, provides habitat for wildlife, and supports the overall well-being of the community. It's a meaningful and impactful way to celebrate World Environment Day!

The plantation drive at the adopted village was a successful event that brought together the community to promote environmental conservation. The initiative will not only increase the green cover in the village but also create awareness about the importance of trees and their impact on the environment.
