The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis as a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, engaged in developing the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The soldier youth foundation in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, higher secondary, colleges and universities all over India. The cadets are given basic military training in small arms and drill. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course.

NCC was raised in SGRRU (Dehradun) in the year 2020.The Associate NCC Officer in SGRRU is Dr. Anuja Rohilla. The selection procedure of NCC cadets is on the basis of physical strength test. Students are selected on the basis of 200m running and pushups. In medical test height, weight and eyesight is also checked according to the criteria. Those students who are shortlisted from physical and medical test have to undergo an interview. Total number of students participated in the first year were 150 and out of which 32 students were selected. So far, 4 students have cleared NCC with ‘C’ certificate. In the year 2021,second batch was enrolled. The selection procedure was the same.
MOTTO of NCC
The motto of NCC is "Unity and Discipline" ( Ekta aur Anushasan ) and was taken in the 12th CAC meeting held on 12 Oct 1980.
