Syllabus

After completing B.A./B.Sc. in Statistics and M.A./M.Sc. in Statistics a student can choose a career according to their personal interest. There are numerous alternatives, which include higher studies, different jobs and also some short term courses which will add an advantage to the students. After doing higher studies in Statistics, students can opt following fields :

 
  • NET/SLET
  • UPSC exams like ISS(Indian Statistical Services)
  • SSC exams for Statistical Investigator, Statistical Assistant etc.
  • Govt. organisations and non govt. organisations like NGO etc.
  • Banking sector for clerical or PO grade.
  • Different jobs in MNC’s 

Q.1 When and how will I find out if I have been accepted?

Ans. Depending on the number of applications the process normally takes until the end of July for all decisions to be made.

Q.2 Is there a separate application form for financial support?

Ans. No, All application forms are same but for financial support, you have to provide a separate application.

Q.4 How many transcripts must I send to the department?

Ans. Do not send official transcripts to the department at the time of application. Instead, as part of the online application, please upload a clear and easy-to-read PDF copy of your transcript from each institution of higher learning (post-High School) that you have attended. If we offer you admission, you will be asked to provide an official copy of your transcript to our department at that time.
