This course is a bachelor degree program offered at university level focused on coursework related to nursing process, nursing science, research, leadership relevant and specific to nursing practice.It is a two years bachelorette degree programme.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose.
  • Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas: ( O.T. Techniques , Ophthalmic Nursing, Leprosy Nursing, TB Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Neurological and Neurosurgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Cancer Nursing and Orthopedic Nursing).
  • Candidates shall be medically fit.
  • Students shall be admitted once in a year.

Admission Procedure

  • Candidates are advised to verify their own eligibility carefully before applying for registration, as the fee will not be refunded if a candidate is found ineligible for the course.
  • All information filled in the registration form must be correct and complete as the admission of a candidate securing admission on the basis of incorrect or false or concealed information is liable to be canceled at any stage.
  • Registration forms for admission duly filled in should reach the office of the Institute/College on or before the date mentioned in the admission notice/form. Selection of the candidate is purely on ENTRANCE BASIS conducted by the College.

Candidates who complete a Post Basic BSc Nursing program are required to make autonomous judgments in a variety of nursing circumstances in which they are responsible for providing preventative and rehabilitative services to their patients.
The curriculum is designed to prepare students for positions such as Nursing Superintendent, Nursing Supervisor, Staff Nurse, and others in the public and private sectors.

The Post Basic BSc Nursing (PBBSc) syllabus is designed to provide students with knowledge of advanced nursing.
Candidates can brush up on their medical abilities, both surgical and non-surgical, throughout this course.
It aims to improve professional nursing competencies, critical thinking skills, competencies and standards.
