A Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree provides a strong foundation in various aspects of business and commerce. It opens up a range of career opportunities in fields such as finance, accounting, marketing, human resource, taxation etc. The curriculum has been designed as per NEP and equips the students with the skills they need to successfully meet the demands of the business world. Schedule of Depositing the Fee:
  • 1st Installment at the time of Admission.
  • 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th Installment (as applicable) - Last Date Payment: 15th January each academic year. 
  • 3rd, 5th and 7th Installment (as applicable) - Last Date Payment: 15th July each academic year.

 

Q.1 I have studied both commerce and accounts in my class XII. Which subject will I have to choose for my best four?

Ans. You can choose both the subjects in your best four.

Q.2 Do a candidate required in-person on the day of admission?

Ans. Yes, candidate must be present on the day of admission in the college along with the desired documents.

Q.3 Will there be any disadvantage for gap year students?

Ans. No, all you need are the necessary documents.

Q.4 Can I take admission in two different/same courses in different colleges after declaration of a cut off?

Ans. No, you cannot take admission simultaneously in two different courses or same courses in different colleges. In case you take admission at two places, your admission will be cancelled from both the colleges/courses.

Q.5 Are there special seats for NCC cadets/NSS?

Ans. The University has no special quota for NCC/NSS in any of the colleges.

Q.6 After the declaration of the cut-off, are students given admission on the first come first serve basis?

Ans. Admission in the college is based on first come first serve policy.

Q.7 I have appeared in class XII exam from Uttarakhand. Will I get an advantage of being from Uttarakhand?

Ans. Yes, you will be provided fee concession of about 26% only in total fee, provided you have a domicile certificate of Uttarakhand.

Q.8 I have completed my class XII from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling can I get admission in regular college?

Ans. Yes, you can get admission in regular course provided you have applied in that course / college and meet the cut off.

Q.9 Once I have taken admission in a particular subject, can I change my subject during the course of study or after completing first year?

Ans. You can change your subject only before the last date of admission provided seats are available and you meet the requisite cut off.

Q.10 Is there an entrance exam for UG Programmes?

Ans. No, there isn’t. Admission is on the basis of Grade XII marks & the counselling held in our campus.

Q.11 When did the admissions open?

Ans. May-june, 2018.

Q.12 Are hostel facilities available for all students?

Ans. Hostels for girls who come from outside are available on a sharing basis (3-to-a room). Accommodation is not available for family members, spouses and children of married students.

Q.13 What is the teacher student ratio at SGRRU?

Ans. The current teacher student ratio at SGRRU is approximately 1:6.

Q.14 Can I get campus jobs ?

Ans. A limited number of campus jobs are available under the Work – Earn programme. You can apply for these jobs on a monthly basis after joining the university.

Q.15 Does SGRRU offer online / distance learning programmes?

Ans. No. All Master’s and Research programmes are regular programmes and do not allow students to take up full time or even part-time jobs.

Q.16 Is SGRR University affiliated to any University for purpose of recognition of degrees?

Ans. No. Being a University, the question of affiliation to another university does not arise. Since the university is recognized by State Govt. Uttarakhand of India, the courses offered by SGRR University are recognize

Q.17 At the time of counseling, is the presence of candidate compulsory?

Ans. Yes, the candidate along with his parent or guardian shall be present at the counseling desk.
