Deekshaarambh Programme Organized At Shri Guru Ram Rai University

- DEEKSHAARAMBH PROGRAMME ORGANIZED AT SHRI GURU RAM RAI UNIVERSITY 

- THOUSANDS OF NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS ADDED TO THE CHARM OF THE PROGRAMME

Dehradun. Deekshaarambh-2024 programme was organized for the new admitted students. In the Deekshaarambh programme, thousands of students who had taken new admissions enthusiastically participated. The administrative officers, faculty members and already studying students acquainted the newly admitted students with the various activities of the university. In Deekshaarambh programme, cultural events were the main attraction. The intellectuals present at Deekshaarambh-2024, urged the students to prove to the saying of ‘Come for Education, Go for Service’ and use their educational skills in the service of the nation.

On Tuesday, Deekshaarambh-2024 which was organized at the Medical auditorium, programme was begun with lamp lighting jointly by Shri Guru Ram Rai University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Yashbir Dewan, Registrar Dr. Ajay Kumar Khanduri and Programme Convener Prof. Dr. Kumud Saklani. 

SGRR University’s President, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj conveyed his best wishes and showered his divine blessings over the Deekshaarambh-2024 programme being organized for newly admitted students. In his message, he urged the students to lead a life of patience and develop their skills.

While addressing the gathering over the occasion, SGRR University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Yashbir Dewan said that the education journey of university is totally different from School education. 

The students will have to show sincerity towards education. He emphasized that in particular the students will have to exhibit ideal discipline during studies in the classes. He said that in the university, the meaning of education is not just to study but all round personality development to excel in all the fields. He said that while being at the university, the students learn that how to perform successfully in education as well as in the society, service, business and life. He said that the students will have to develop maturity in work, cent percent attendance in the classes and excel in studies. 

SGRR University’s Registrar Dr. Ajay Kumar Khanduri said that all the students will have to fight with difficulties by coming out of their comfort zones. She said that by strong efforts and support of the faculties they will have to attain their objective. In his address to the gathering, he urged the students to become role models and make their golden future. He also said that the faculties must guide the students just like their guardians. He said that in education as well as various activities like cultural programmes and sports, the faculties will have to motivate the He also urged the students to participate enthusiastically in sports, cultural programmes and all extra curricular activities to ensure their all round personality development. 

SGRR University’s Coordinator Dr. R.P. Singh while addressing the gathering said that any of the students must not consider themselves inferior to anyone. He said that the students must concentrate particularly on their skill development. 

SGRR University’s Dean Academic and programme’s convener, Pof. Dr. Kumud Saklani explained the students in detail about the New Education Policy-2020 (N.E.P.-2020). On this occasion, SGRR University’s Controller of Examination Prof. Dr. Sanjay Sharma acquainted the students about the process of examination in the university.

SGRR University’s Chief Proctor Cum Spokesperson Manoj Tiwari advised the students to always remain in discipline. He said that the students must always be respectful towards the faculties. He advised the students to develop reviewing knowledge. He said that the students must also keep evaluating themselves from time to time and never deviate from their goals. 

Psychiatrist of Shri  Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Dr. Shobhi Garg explained in detail to the students about taking care of their mental health. He gave the slogan ‘Say No To Drugs’ and advised the students to be away from all kinds of intoxications. 

Over the occasion, senior students presented dance programme on yoga and various cultural programmes. Deekshaarambh-2024 was anchored by Dr. Shreya Kotnala. A Vote of Thanks was given by Programme’s convener Prof. Dr. Kumud Saklani. 

The occasion was also marked by the auspicious presence of SGRR University’s IQAC Director Prof Dr. Suman Viz, Dean Research Prof. Dr. Lokesh Gambhir, Prof. Dr. Malvika Knadpal, Prof. Kanchan Joshi, Prof. Balbir Kaur, Pradeep Semwal, Dr. Kanika Rawat, Dr. Nisha Dhyani, Deans, HODs, faculties and thousands of students of various schools of Shri Guru Ram Rai University.
