Brief Profile:

Dr. Kavita Tripathi is a Doctorate in Geology. Her functional area of research includes Structural Geology, Magnetic Fabric of Granitic rocks (AMS), Microtectonics Field mapping, Field Geology and Shape Preferred Orientation (SPO).

She completed her M.Sc. in Geology from Kumaun University, Nainital with first rank and was further awarded with Wadia Institute National (JRF) fellowship from DST, Government of India to pursue her Doctoral research from WIHG, Dehradun. She Completed her CSIR-RA (Research Associate), from CSIR-HRDG, Pusa New Delhi. She had also completed one Department of Science and Technology, DST-sponsored Women Scientist (DST_WOS-A) Project (2018-2022).
 
She has eight research publications in reputed international and national Science indexed journals (SCI). She has a teaching experience of more than one year and is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Geology, School of Basic and Applied Sciences, SGRRU, Dehradun.
