Report Of Final Practical And Viva Voce

With the blessings of Honourable President Shri Guru Ram Rai University Dehradun final exam   of B.Ed. II year 2022 - 24 Batch was conducted on 27 and 28 May 2024.Practical Examination and viva voce was conducted in the presence of two External Examiner Prof. Savita Rawat HOD B.Ed. Department DAV PG College Dehradun and  Retired Prof Jyotsana Saxena DWT Dehradun, Dean SOE Prof Malvika S Kandpal and Internal Examiner Prof Anand Kumar and Prof Balbir Kaur collaboratively assessed students teaching in both the pedagogy subjects. Students taught both their pedagogy subjects using Teaching learning Model (TLM) constructed by the students themselves.

After teaching five groups of students presented drama which is part of their EPC curriculum Students group wise presented social problems in front of the examiner., Dr Rekha Dhyani, Dr Ritu Sinha, Dr Priyanka Upadhyay, Ms Rakhi Chauhan were also present during the external exam.

Purpose:

To evaluate the effectiveness of the trainee teachers in delivering classroom instruction.

To assess the ability to plan lessons, manage classrooms, and engage students effectively.

Components:

Lesson Planning: Students  prepare  lesson plans demonstrating clear objectives, teaching methods, and assessment strategies.

Classroom Teaching: Trainees conduct actual teaching sessions in a real or simulated classroom environment, showcasing their teaching skills and ability to implement their lesson plans.

Classroom Management: Observers assess how well the trainee manages the classroom, including handling student behavior and creating an inclusive learning environment.

Use of Teaching Aids: Effective use of various teaching aids and technology to enhance learning is evaluated.

Assessment and Evaluation: Trainees are judged on their methods of assessing student understanding and providing feedback.

Evaluation:

Conducted by a panel of examiners which  include faculty members, teachers, and external evaluators.

Based on criteria such as lesson clarity, instructional methods, interaction with students, and overall effectiveness.

Feedback and Reflection:

After the teaching session, students typically receive feedback from the evaluators.

Reflective practice is encouraged, where students analyze their performance to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

The B.Ed final teaching exam is a comprehensive assessment designed to ensure that future teachers are well-prepared to enter the classroom and provide high-quality education.
