Practical crop production is an important practical course offered to students of B. Sc. Agriculture in their 5^th and 6^th semesters of the academic year to get practical exposure towards field preparation strategies like ploughing, harrowing and planking; soil testing; seed sowing methods and geometry; varietal selection; irrigation water management and drainage ; nutrient management; weed management, insect- pest and diseases management; harvesting and post harvest processing, marketing and cost: profit relationship of the crop. This course was done with rice and wheat crop during both of the semesters of the year. Practical trainings were provided by the faculties of the Department of Agriculture for better production potential and sustainable environment.
