Dehradun. Navrang Dandia was celebrated in flying colours at Shri Guru Ram Rai University (SGRRU). The university students, both boys and girls, hailed the praise slogans of various forms of Goddess Mata Rani and marked the sacred occasion of Navratri. In the programme, students and faculty members enjoyed the Garba and Dandia dances very much. The pandal (programme premises) was bathed with bright lights was having Garba on one side, while on the other side, mouth watering delicious Bengali, Gujarati & Uttarakhand Hilly dishes were the centre of attraction. 

Chancellor of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Shri Mahant Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj has congratulated people of Uttarakhand and India over the sacred & lucky occasion of Shardiya Navratra as well as showered his divine blessings over all.

On Saturday evening, the Navrang Dandia programme was begun jointly by Shri Guru Ram Rai University’s Vice Chancellor Dr. Prof. Yashbir Dewan, Registrar Dr. Ajay Kumar Khanduri, Co-ordinator Dr. R.P. Singh and Chief Proctor Cum Spokesperson Manoj Tiwari. After that, the Student Council of SGRR University, strated Navrang Dandia-2023 with Ganesh Vandana. After this, Garba and Dandia dance dominated the scenario at the pandal. The presentations of Drona Band made the atmosphere pleasant. The addiction of music coupled with melodious songs of Drona Band dominated the students till late in the evening.

SGRR University’s Registrar Dr. Ajay Kumar Khanduri, while addressing the gathering at the occasion, said that the religious beliefs, Dandai has its unique significance in Navratra occasion. Dandia generates positive energy in us and also gives us an opportunity to exhibit our skills. He congratulates the organizers and Student Council of the University for the Successful organizing of this Navrang Dandia programme.   

The occasion was also marked by the auspicious presence of SGRR University’s Co-ordinator Dr. R.P. Singh, Chief Proctor Cum Spokesperson Manoj Tiwari, IQAC Director Dr. Prof. Suman Viz, Dean Academic Dr. Prof. Kumud Saklani, Exam Controller Prof. Sanjay Sharma, Dean Research Dr. Lokesh Gambhir, Chief Administrative Officer Manoj Gahlot, Dean, Students Welfare Prof. Kanchan Joshi, Deans, Faculties, staff and thousands of students of all the schools.
