With the guidance and direction of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Yasbhir Diwan, a comprehensive mock interview session was held for the B. Pharm final year students on 7th and 12th September 2024, aimed at preparing them for real-world job opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry. The sessions were organized by the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences in collaboration with the SGRRU Mock Interview core team. It offered students a valuable opportunity to sharpen their interview skills and build confidence for their future careers.
The session simulated a real interview experience, featuring technical and HR rounds to familiarize students with the types of questions and situations they might encounter during recruitment. In the technical round, experts Dr. G. Gnanarajan, Dr. Neeraj, Dr. C.S. Tailor & Dr. Archana Gahtori from the Departments of Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy & Pharm. Chemistry respectively, served as interviewers, posing questions related to various pharmaceutical sectors such as manufacturing, sales, and research. Their feedback provided students with critical insights into industry expectations.
The HR round by the team of Dr. Manisha Maiduly, conducted by Management professionals, focused on essential aspects like body language, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities—key areas that are often evaluated in interviews.
Prof. Divya Juyal, Dean , School of Pharmaceutical Sciences encouraged students to actively participate in mock interview sessions and emphasized that this initiative would be crucial in helping them refine their interview preparation strategies and increase their chances of success in future job opportunities.
