The three-day “Initiation Program” for newly admitted students of Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun, has been formally inaugurated in the Medical College Auditorium. On the first day of the program, the Chancellor of the University, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj sent a greeting message to all the students. On the first day, newly admitted students of School of Yoga and Naturopathy were welcomed. On this occasion, Garhwali and Kumaoni folk dances, songs, music as well as theatrical presentations were given to entertain the students. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor (Dr.) Yashveer Divan, while addressing the students as the Chief Guest, said that various courses are being run in the University for the development of the students. He said that many policies have been made in the interest of students from which students can benefit. He said that the welfare of the students is the priority of the university and the faculty members of the university are always ready to help them in developing their conduct and how to make the students a partner in the development of the society.
