World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health. The Day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide.World Mental Health Day 2023 is an opportunity for people and communities to unite behind the theme ‘Mental health is a universal human right” to improve knowledge, raise awareness and drive actions that promote and protect everyone’s mental health as a universal human right.
Two day program was organized by the Mental Health Department dated 9th & 10th October in collaboration with Art of Living.Organizers were Mrs.Sangeetha,Professsor,Mrs.ReenaMaibam(Associateprofessor) Mr.Phungsten Chok Mrs.Smita(Assistant Professor) and Master students Mr.Ajay Kumar ,Ms.Kritika Sain ,Mrs.Bethel Kutiyal ,Mr. Shashank Manwal. and Lalnunnem under the supervision of Prof. G. Ramalakshmi Dean, SGRRU, SGRRIMHS College of Nursing.
DAY 1
As per the program schedule on day 1 we had organized various events for the students such as speech up event, role play event and reel making event Competition held at SGRRIMHS,College of Nursing.
23 students participated in the day 1 events 1st 2nd and 3rd position was given on the basis of judgment by our judges Mrs.Rosaline ,Mrs.Sheeba, Mrs. Dinneshwori.
DAY 2
On the 2nd day was the day with our eminent speakers Mr. Nitin Jain (State Coordinator) Mrs. Nandita Singh (teacher) and Mrs. Hemlata Bisht(teacher) from Art Of Living , An Awareness Program for our students Gnm and B.Sc. 3rd sem students various faculty also joined the program, welcome was done by offering the saplings ,session started at 10:30 am and ended at 12 :00 pm ,it was an interactive session and skills related to meditation were taught, after the knowledgeable session prize and certificate distribution was done for the winners and all the participants were given certificate.
