The Department of Microbiology and Medical Lab Technology of the School of Paramedical Sciences organized a 4-day Programme on the occasion of World Antimicrobial Awareness Week from 18th November 2022 – 23rd November 2022 in School Campus. Events conducted were a Poster Competition (Day 1), Quiz Competition (Day 2), and Debate Competition (Day 3) followed by a Closing Ceremony on 23rd November 2022. The Closing ceremony began with the welcome address followed by lamp lighting by the esteemed Guest of Honor Dr Dimple Raina, Lab Director SGRRIMHS, Dean SPMS and Respected Faculty Members. Opening of the event was traditional as blessings of Maa Saraswati were taken in the form of Saraswati Vandana. Dean SPMS Felicitated the Guest with the Sapling and motivated the students with a few words on WAAW. Chief Guest Dr. Dimple Raina enlighted the students with her scientific thoughts on Antimicrobial Awareness. The closing Ceremony was full of colours and flavours of Uttarakhand, Himachal and Punjab Folk culture. Students participated in the function with full enthusiasm and made it a success. Winners and runners of the events were awarded medals by the Chief Guest and Dean SPMS. The Event was organized under the guidance of Respected faculty members Dr. Neha Chauhan, Ms. Nisha Dhyani, Ms. Divya Chauhan and Ms. Nivedita, by the students of the Department of Microbiology and MLT.
