Students of SGRRU school of Paramedical Sciences show unmatched Enthusiasm by donating blood to save human lives

Dehradun. A Health Awareness Week is being celebrated by Shri Guru Ram Rai University’s School of Paramedical Sciences. This Health Awareness Week is being organized for five days from 4th June to 8th June 2022. 

Today on the first day of the Health Awareness Week, the inauguration was done by Dean, School of Paramedical Sciences, Dr. Malvika Singh by lamp lighting. The first event of the day was a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp organized at the School of Paramedical Sciences in association with the Blood Bank of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital. In the voluntary blood donation camp, students both boys and girls donated blood with unmatched enthusiasm. A total of 55 Units of Blood was donated.

The Second event organized was an exhibition and competition on the theme ‘Best Out of Waste’ by the students of School of Paramedical Sciences. In this event, the students made useful products out of waste materials. So many useful and attractive products were made by the students which won the praise of everyone.

The students showed extreme creativity and innovativeness in making useful products out of waste. The First prize was won by Shabina (B.P.T.-Ist Year) who made a Water Heater out of waste materials. The Second prize was won jointly by Himani (BPT-2ND Year) & Dheeraj (BMLT Ist Year). Himani made Eco-friendly Bricks while Dheeraj had made a Pen Stand using old bottles. The Third Prize was won jointly by Vineeta Negi (BPT 2nd Year), Snigdha (BMRIT 2nd Year) & Arti Bisht (BMRIT 2nd Year). Vinneta Negi had made Decorative Flowers using old X-Ray films while Snigdha and Arti Bisht had mad Dools using old newspapers.

Speaking over the occasion, Dan, School of Paramedical Sciences, Dr. Malvika Singh said that it’s extremely pleasing to see that the students of School of Paramedical Sciences have multiple talents which they have exhibited today. She also said that it’s also satisfying to find students of School of Paramedical Sciences, both boys and girls, voluntarily donating blood in an appreciable number to save human lives in the hours of medical emergencies.

She congratulated the students and faculty members for this.
