With the blessings of Shri Mahant Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj, Honorable President, and the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Yashbir Dewan, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Pharmacy of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital has received accreditation from the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). This will allow D.Pharm. students from Uttarakhand and across the country to receive training in the hospital’s pharmacies. It is the only private hospital in Uttarakhand accredited by PCI where D.Pharm. students can complete their mandatory training.

To complete the D.Pharm. course in Pharmaceutics, 500 hours (3 months) of training are mandatory. This training must be conducted at PCI-recognized centers. Candidates must pass the examination and complete training at a recognized training center to register with the State Pharmacy Council. PCI has granted Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital 240 seats per quarter, allowing 960 D.Pharm. students to receive training annually.

The PCI thoroughly evaluated Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital for compliance with guidelines set by the National Medical Commission (NMC), NABH, and both central and state governments. The hospital's dispensaries met all criteria, leading to PCI's approval for training.

With this significant achievement, SMIH and SGRR University are set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of pharmaceutical education and training, providing students with valuable hands-on experience.
