SGRRU Students Create Organ Donation Awareness Through Posters In Cultural Week

Students of SGRR University participated in Poster making competition to promote awareness about organ donation. The poster competition on the theme ‘Best Gift Ever- Be an Organ Donor’ was organised on 27th March 2023 (2:00 pm to 3:00 pm) as SGRR University celebrates Cultural Week from 27th – 31st March 2023.

The chief guests of the event were Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SGGR University Prof. (Dr.) U. S. Rawat and Dr. Ajay Kumar Khanduri, Registrar, SGRR University. In India, many suffer from diseases and out of these some of them needs organ transplant to add more years to their lives.  Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Sir in his address, appreciated the event theme and urged to embrace organ donation.

Students from all the constituent schools of SGRR University participated in the competition with great enthusiasm and performed commendably. The participants as well as the students who were present gained an insight into importance of organ donation. 

At the end, students presented their poster explaining the motto. Dr. Deepak Sahni, Dr. Arun Kumar and Dr. Nidhi Jain judged the competition and gave most valuable comments and compliments to every poster.

Top three Posters were selected and rewarded with certificates.

The winners of the Poster competition are as follows:

1st Position: Drishti Saini, MBBS, SGRRIMHS

2nd Position (Tie): Seema Gupta BA 4th Sem & Kritika Saini M.Pharm II Sem

3rd Position (Tie): Nandini Chhetri BEd. I Year & Shivani Bhagat BSc. Nursing I Sem

The event was coordinated by Dr. Meenakshi Bhatt and Mrs. Archana Kero as member of the Cultural Committee under the guidance of Dr. Malvika Kandpal, Academic Coordinator & Dean (SOE), SGRR University. On a whole the competition was a good success with best entries from each school of SGRR University.
