Dehradun. The Annual Sports Meet of Shri Guru Ram Rai University (SGRRU) Khelotsav concluded today on Saturday amidst colourful presentations. To mark the occasion of end of sports meet, students gave admirable presentations. The university honoured the winners with medals, prizes and citation letters. President, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj congratulated and showered his divine blessings over all the winners, students and organizers of Khelotsav for its successful organizing.

On Saturday, at the Sports Ground of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, the prize distribution programme was begun jointly by Chief Guest Dr. Salil Garg, Advisor, Honourable Chairman, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital and senior Cardiologist, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Guest of Honour, Dr. Ashok Nayak, Principal, SGRR Institute of Medical & Health Sciences and Dr. Ajay Kumar Khanduri, Registrar, Shri Guru Ram Rai University. The students of SGRRu then gave a start to the programme by singing Ganesh Vandana. Chief Guest Dr. Salil Garg congratulated the for the successful organizing of Khelotsav and said that the performance of all the players performed with enthusiasm. He motivated all the students and wished for their bright future.

Addressing the gathering over the occasion, SGRRU Registrar Dr. Ajay Kumar Khanduri said that along with studies, sports competitions play a significant role in all round development. He said that in Khelotsav, organized from 14th to 19th October 2024, students exhibited their versatility. He congratulated all the winners and participants. Khelotsav’s Chairperson, Dr. Puneet Ohri & Secretary Dr. Satya Prakash Joshi presented the Report Card of Khelotsav. In the leadership of Isha Sharam, Chetan, Yuyutsa, Samar and Mitali performed the stage anchoring.

In 100 metres run Boys, Anshul Bisht, student of School of Engineering and Technology and in Girls, Aditi, student of Humanities and Social Sciences were the winners of the finals. In 200 metres run Boys, Abhinav Kumar of Pharmacy and in Girls, Prachi Jamloki were the winners. In 400 metres race Boys, Mahender Singh of Basic and Applied Sciences while in Girls, Khushi of Management were the winners. In 800 metres race Boys, Neeraj Kumar while in Girls Poornima emerged as winners. In Relay Race Boys, Aryan, Utkarsh, Ayush, Ritik won the race while in Girls, Yogita, Simran, Pooja, Deepika, and Khushi were the winning team. In Tug of War Boys, School of Pharmacy while in Girls, School of Humanities won the winning title.
