- IN TUG OF WAR TEAM OF MANAGEMENT & COMMERCE STUDIES EMERGED AS VICTORIOUS

Dehradun. 20th December 2022. The Annual Sports Meet of Shri Guru Ram Rai University ‘Khelotsav-2022’ concluded today with colorful presentations. To mark the occasion of the sports meet, students, both boys and girls, gave attractive presentations and exhibited their skills. The winners were honoured with medals, prizes and citation letters by the university. Chancellor of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj congratulated all the winners, students and organizers of ‘Khelotsav-2022’ and showered his divine blessings over them.

On Tuesday, at the Sports Ground of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, the Prize distribution ceremony was begun jointly by the Chief Guest Dr. Uday Singh Rawat, Vice Chancellor, Shri Guru Ram Rai University and Guest of Honour, Dr. R.P. Singh, Registrar, Shri Guru Ram Rai University. Student Monu Rohilla gave wonderful presentation on Ganesh Vandana.

While addressing the gathering over the occasion, Chief Guest, Dr. U.S. Rawat congratulated all the winners, participants and organizers of ‘Khelotsav-2022’. He said that in every competition, just a team or player is the winner in a competition, but sports spirit is the feeling which generates a unique enthusiasm to excel in all the participants. He said that in ‘Khelotsav-2022’, the way students of Shri Guru Ram Rai University have exhibited the enthusiasm, team orientation and sports spirit is heart touching and a matter of pride for the university. 

Registrar of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dr. R.P. Singh congratulated the Co-ordinator of Khelotsav-2022 Dr. Manoj Gahlot & his whole team for the successful organizing of this annual sports event. 

School of Management & Commerce Studies was honoured with the title of Overall Champion of ‘Khelotsav-2022’. Among boys, Abhinav Kumar of School of Humanities & Social Sciences won the highest number of medals. Among girls, Riya Nautiyal of School of Management & Commerce Studies won the highest number of medals. In 100 meters race, Abhinav Kumar and Riya Nautiyal emerged as winners. School of Management & Commerce Studies put itself ahead of all in both boys and girls Relay Race. In Tug of War, team of School of Management & Commerce Studies was the winner. 

Stage anchoring was done efficiently by Dr. Divya Negi Ghai, Yash Raturi and Keshav Mamgain. In Prize Distribution, Anshika Thapa and Priyansh Gaur assisted significantly. The occasion was also marked by the auspicious presence of Co-ordinator, Shri Guru Ram rai University’s ‘Khelotsav-2022’, Dr. Manoj Gahlot, Dr. Puneet Ohri, Dr. Savita P. Patil, Dr. Arun Kumar, Dr. M.A. Beg, Dr. Anil Thapliyal, Vaibhav Sharma, S.P. Joshi, Vijay Negi and other sports officials.
