Republic Day was celebrated amidst flying colours at Shri Guru Ram Rai University and other SGRR Group’s institutions. Fabulous programmes were organized at Shri Darbar Sahib, Shri Guru Ram Rai University and various institutions of SGRR on the occasion of Republic Day. The disciplined parade of NCC cadets, NCC students and 11 constituent schools of Shri Guru Ram Rai University won the admiration of all.
At Shri Darbar Sahib, Sajjada Gaddisnashin (spiritual superior of the shrine) Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj hoisted the tricolour at 9 a.m. On this blessed occasion, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj congratulated the people of Uttarakhand and India on the occasion of Republic Day and showered his divine blessings over them. At Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Kumud Saklani hoisted the tricolour. At Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Chief Medical Superintendent of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr. Utkarsh Sharma, hoisted the national flag.
An atmosphere of celebration and patriotism was there. Vice Chancellor Dr. Kumud Saklani took the parade salute. She appreciated the contribution of all the faculty members towards the university. She said that being Indian is a cause to celebrate the Republic Day today and urged all to be devoted towards constitution.
In the programme, Pranav Dhanware, Senior Under Officer Yash Gusain, Senior Under Officer Yash Barmola, Under Officer Priyanshu Panwar, Sergeant Shreya Bisht, Cadet Siddanth Thapa were honoured by the Vice Chancellor with mementoes. At Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, medical students rang patriotic songs and made the atmosphere patriotic. On this occasion, Registrar, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dr. Lokesh Gambhir urged all to take the resolution to prove up to the mark on the expectations of the makers of the constitution. He said that everyone must ensure their role in the making of a self reliant nation. The occasion was also marked by the auspicious presence of SGRR University’s Coordinator Dr. R.P. Singh, Dr. Lalit Kumar Varshney, Dr. Puneet Ohri, Dr. Rajiv Acharya, HODs, Deans and students of all the Schools of the university.
