Report On World Autism Day Awareness Talk

On the occasion of World Autism Day, the Latika Roy Foundation, in collaboration with the School of Education, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun, organized an insightful talk aimed at raising awareness among B.Ed. students about autism. The session took place on April 4, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the School of Education SGRRU Pathribagh Campus.

The session was led by Ms. Rupa Bishnoi and Ms. Anita from Latika Roy Foundation, who provided valuable insights into autism spectrum disorder (ASD), its challenges, and the importance of inclusive education. Through an engaging discussion, the speakers emphasized the need for understanding, acceptance, and support for individuals with autism.

To enhance the students' understanding, informative videos were shared, illustrating real-life scenarios and best practices for interacting with and educating children with autism. The session also included an interactive discussion, allowing students to ask questions and share their thoughts on creating an inclusive learning environment.

The event proved to be highly educational and impactful, equipping future educators with the knowledge and sensitivity required to support children with autism in their classrooms. The participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of neurodiversity and inclusive education.

The session concluded with a note of appreciation from the faculty members of the School of Education, acknowledging the efforts of the Latika Roy Foundation in advocating for individuals with autism and promoting awareness among future educators.
