SGRR School of Education with the blessings of Honourable Chancellor sir Diwali and Honorable Vice Chancellor sir celebrated Diwali competition on 08 November 2023,festival of lights which symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. Diwali is the day Lord Rama, his wife Sita Devi and brother Lakshmana return to their homeland after 14 years in exile. The villagers lit a path for Rama, who had defeated the demon king Ravana. The people of Ayodhya lined the streets and their homes with oil wicks in clay lamps to welcomed them. People also celebrate the Hindu Goddess Lakshmi during Diwali.
The program commenced at 10:30 AM and concluded at 12:30 PM. The participants of this competition were the first-year B.Ed students. The competition consisted of five groups, each comprising ten students. Each group showcased their talents through various activities, namely
Group-1: Diya Making, Group-2: Toran, Group-3: Lamp Making, Group-4: Board Decoration, and Group-5: Rangoli Making. The campus was decorated with full of lights, beautiful display of art and Art club has designed swastika rangoli on the lawn, decorated with flowers and light it with diyas.
The students actively participated in the competition, demonstrating their utmost dedication and zeal. The esteemed judges for this event were Dr. Malvika Sati Kandpal and Dr. Anand Kumar. The various competition was organized for students on the theme Diwali, the winners were announced & distributed the prizes.
