Dehradun. Shikha Mishra, a researcher of Media & Mass Comm Deptt. of Shri Guru Ram Rai University has been awarded the degree of Ph.D. On Thursday, Shikha Mishra gave her final presentation at the seminar hall of the Pathri Bagh Campus of SGRR University. This Ph.D. has been completed under the guidance of HOD, Deptt. of Media & Mass Communication, Dr. Ashish Kulshreshtha.

Shikha Mishra has done her research on the female health-related subject ‘Maternal Health Issues in Print Media- A Critical Analysis of Capital Region Dehradun’. During the research, Shikha holds the credit to reveal many interesting facts on female health-related news. His research concluded that Print Media is a better medium to for Female Health Related News. The females even in today’s scenario, give more importance to Print Media for Female Health Related News.

Along with this, there’s a possibility of initiating a new column on Female Health Related News to make it reach females in a highly effective manner. Her research also revealed that there’s a need to present the Female Health Related News in more depth that can become a key factor in policy making. Shri Guru Ram Rai University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Yashbir Dewan, and Registrar, Dr. Ajay Kumar Khanduri have congratulated Shikha Mishra for her successful completion of research and awarding of her Ph.D. degree.
