- EX-CHAIRMAN OF U.G.C.GAVE DETAILED LECTURE ON HIGHER EDUCATION, HAD A DIALOGUE WITH THE STUDENTS
A One Day Seminar with the title ‘New Direction in Higher Education’ was organized on Thursday at the auditorium of SGRR Medical College.
In the seminar, there were more than 800 participants including the Dean of various schools, faculties of various subjects and students of the university. The main speaker of the seminar, Ex- Chairman, University Grants Commission (U.G.C.) addressed the participants.
To mark the occasion, Chancellor, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Shri Mahant Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj congratulated the various guests and participants for the successful organizing of the seminar.
Ex-Chairman of the University Grants Commission, Professor Ved Prakash in his lecture gave detailed information about the history and chronology of Higher Education in India, the primitive education system and New Education Policy. He said that every child of the nation needs to be a responsible citizen and good human being along with being educated and strong. He urged the students to invest their maximum time in education. Professor Ved Prakash said that in the New Education Policy equips us with all the opportunities to enrich the quality of education. In the National Seminar, he presented the figures on whose basis he said that in order to get our place in the top-ranking educational institutions of the country, we all need to work hard and be focused. In the seminar, he presented the comparative figures of the budget released by Western countries for education in comparison of their total Gross Domestic Product (G.D.P.).
Professor Ved Prakash gave many useful tips to the university’s faculties to enhance educational quality in the university.

In the National Seminar, Ex-Director of Lok Sabha Secretariat, Professor Shimla gave detailed lecture on educational values in education. She also gave detailed informations on Guru Parampara , educational values and economic values along with educational principles.
Registrar, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dr. Ajay Kumar Khanduri in his address gave information about the New Education Policy and expressed gratitude towards all the speakers.
