-MORE THAN 5,000 STUDENTS WILL DISPLAY MENTAL & PHYSICAL EXCELLENCE IN THE WEEK LONG MEET 

The Annual Sports Meet ‘Khelotsav-2022’ of Shri Guru Ram Rai University began today in a magnificent manner on Wednesday. I.T.B.P. band, N.C.C. and N.S.S. and representatives of 10 institutions of the university lead the parade. The perfectly disciplined parade was the prime attraction of the Opening Ceremony. In this Sports Meet ‘Khelotsav-2022’, more than 5,000 students (both boys and girls) will display their sporting excellence. Chairman of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj extended his best wishes and showered his divine blessings over all the participating players, faculties, staff and students for the successful organizing of this Annual Sports Meet ‘Khelotsav-2022’.

On Wednesday, the formal opening of ‘Khelotsav-2022’ was announced by the Chief Guest Dr. Uday Singh Rawat, Vice Chancellor, Shri Guru Ram Rai University. The programme was begun by the lightning of torch (mashal) by the Chief Guest Dr. U.S. Rawat, Registrar Dr. R.P. Singh, Authorised Signatory of SGRR Management, Vijay Nautiyal, Co-ordinator Dr. Manoj Gahlot by the formal torch lighting.

While addressing the gathering over the occasion, Dr. U.S. Rawat said that all the participants of the Sports Meet ‘Khelotsav-2022’ must participate enthusiastically with hard work, honesty, team work and sports spirit. He said that the sports activities generate positive feelings of discipline and competition in the student life. Registrar of the university Dr. R.P. Singh wished all the best to all the participants of the Sports Meet. In the Opening Ceremony, the Yoga presentation of the various exercises ‘asanas’ given by university’s Yoga students won the admirations of all. The Yoga students gave a fabulous message of achieving mental and physical balance by practicing Yoga.

The Stage Anchoring was done efficiently by Dr. Divya Negi Ghai and Dr. Isha Sharma. The torch of ‘Khelotsav-2022’ was carried by Nisha Sharma , national level player, She took a round of the sports ground and lighted the torch leading the ‘Khelotsav-2022’. The N.C.C. cadets Ashutosh Singh 29 UK Battalion N.C.C. saluted the Chief Guest. Nursing student Nisha Sharma lead the oath ceremony of Sports Spirit for all the students. 

The occasion was marked by the auspicious presence of Dr. Malvika Kandpal, Dean Faculty, Dr. Puneet Ohri, Vice Principal, SGRR Medical College, Dr. Lalit Kumar Varshney, Vice Principal, SGRR Medical College, Dr. Deepak Sahni, Dr. M.A. Beg, Dr. Deepak Som, Dr. Anil Thapliyal, Dr. Kanchan Joshi, HOD, Deptt. of Yoga, Dr. Alka Chaudhary, Dean, HODs, faculties, staff and students of Shri Guru Ram Rai University.
