Dehradun. On the Fourth Day of the Annual Sports Meet of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Cricket, Football, Basketball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho competitions were played. In Cricket Final, School of Yogic Science and Naturopathy won the title victory. In Kabaddi knock-out matches, School of Agricultural Sciences, School of Management and Commerce Studies and School of Pharmaceutical Sciences won their respective matches and entered the next round.
On Thursday, the different sports competitions played at different playgrounds of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, were jointly inaugurated by Shri Guru Ram Rai University’s Registrar, Dr. Ajay Kumar Khanduri, Co-ordinator, Dr. R.P. Singh, Authorized Signatory Manager, SGRR Education Mission, Vijay Nuatiyal, Dr. Pankaj Mishra and Secretary, Khelotsav, Satya Prakash Joshi. The Final match of Cricket was played between School of Yogic Science and Naturopathy and School of Humanities and Social Sciences. School of Yogic Science and Naturopathy won the toss and elected to bowl. Batsman of Humanities Gaurav made 16 runs on 15 balls with the help of a boundary and a sixer. Opening batsman Paritosh played
a wonder inning of 14 runs on 8 balls with the help of 2 boundaries and a sixer. In the fixed 10 overs, Humanities team scored 76 runs at 7 wickets. Devraj of Yogic Science took 2 wickets. Suraj, Abhishek, Jatin and Nikhil took one wicket each.
Team of Yogic Science came to chase the target and did a remarkable beginning. Devraj played a wonderful inning of 34 runs on 15 balls with the help of 5 boundaries and one sixer. Uttam made 15 runs on 10 balls. Team of Yogic Science won the title victory in the 10 over at the loss of 1 wicket. Devraj was selected the Man of the Match honouring his fabulous performance.
In Kabaddi Boys, School of Agricultural Sciences, School of Management and Commerce Studies, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences won their respective matches and entered the next round. In Basketball Girls, the final was played between School of Nursing won while in Boys section, the final was won by School of Management and Commerce Studies. In Basketball Girls, Donchi while in Boys Section, Ayush Kothiyal was selected as the Player of the Match.
