School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, SGRRU organized an industrial visit for the students B.Pharm II yr. and all branches of M.Pharm to Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Ranipur Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The visit was organized with the permission and guidance of Prof. Dr. Yashbir Dewan, Hon. Vice Chancellor, and Prof. Dr. Divya Juyal Dean, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences on 25-10-2023.  The objective of this visit was to give the exposure to students regarding industrial setup & working atmosphere. 

Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is the largest contract-manufacturing pharmaceutical company of India. The organization deals in the manufacturing and export of formulations in a wide spectrum of dosage forms & and therapeutic segments. The company is currently supplying to almost all Indian and multinational pharmaceutical companies across the globe. The 10 state-of-the-art facilities are dedicated to oral solid dosage forms (with separate units for beta lactum and non-beta lactum formulations), Oral liquid dosage forms, Sterile dosage forms (Injectable, eye, ear & nasal), hormonal (oral and injectable), Ointments & cosmetics, Ayurvedic, food supplements & nutraceuticals and animal health care. The Industry is located in  Sidcul, Ranipur, Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India. A total of 90 students along with 4 faculty members (Dr. Ashutosh Badola, Mrs. Nidhi Semwal, Dr. Subhash Chandra Kothiyal and Dr. Jyoti Kalra) joined this industrial visit. 

Before the visit, Prof. Dr. Divya Juyal Dean, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences addressed the students and gave them strict instructions to stay focused and utilized this wonderful opportunity to enhance their knowledge.
