Fabulous Beginning Of Athletica-2024 At SGRRIM&HS

The Annual Sports Meet Athletica started today on Monday at Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences. In the first day of this Two Days Sports Meet, 100 metres race, 400 metres race, Relay race and Tug of War

Sports Competitions. In this Two Days Annual Sports Meet Athletica-2024, hundreds of students of SGRR Medical College will exhibit their sports skills.

On Monday, at the Sports Ground of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Athletica-2024 begun in a fabulous manner in flying colours. Athletica-2024 was begun jointly by its Chief Guest Senior Cardiologist & Advisor, Honourable Chairman, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr. Salil Garg, Principal, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Dr. Ashok Nayak and Chairperson, Athletica-2024, Dr. Sanjay Sadhu. 

Dr. Salil Garg said that Sports are a significant part of our life and personality. He said that National Medical Commission (N.M.C.) has made Sports activities a significant part of the curriculum of the Medical Colleges. 

Dr. Ashok Nayak said that Sports competitions are not just an activity. He said that sports inculcate discipline and sports spirit among the students. Chairperson, Athletica 2024, Dr. Sanjay Sadhu, shared the sports calendar and explained the various sports competitions that will be organized under it. Pro Vice Chancellor, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dr. Kumud Saklani said that for mental and physical well being, Sports competitions play a key role. Prakhar and Nivedita perfomed the Stage Anchoring.

In 100 metres race, Boys, Ayush Uniyal (MBBS 2020 batch) won while in Girls section Pranavi Sharma (MBBS 2021 batch) won. In 800 metres race, Boys, Anas Ahmad (MBBS 2020 batch) won the title. In Relay Race, Boys, team of Rudraksh, Anas, Ashin and Ayush of MBBS 2020 batch emerged victorious. In Relay race, Girls, team of Pranavi, Akshita, Isha and Nivedita of Mbbs 2021 Batch won. In Tug of War, MBBS 2020 emerged as victorious in both Boys and Girls sections. 

Significant assistance was also rendered by Sports Officer Satya Prakash Joshi, Chief Medical Superintendent, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr. Utkarsh Sharma, Dr. Puneet Ohri, Dr. Nidhi Jain, Dr. Lalit Kumar Varshney, Dr. Pankaj Mishra, Dr. Vani Sharma, Dr. Shah Alam, Dr. Randhir Singh Bisht, Dr. Nidhi Sharma, etc. in organizing the programme.
