Brief Profile
Dr Suneeta Singh is presently serving as Associate Professor and Head at the Department of Horticulture, School of Agricultural Sciences, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. She is associated with teaching and research in the courses pertaining to Agriculture and Horticulture at both UG & PG levels from the last more than 12 years. She did her B. Sc. (Agriculture) from Institute of Agriculture Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. She did her M.Sc. (Ag.) Horticulture in 2007 and earned her Ph.D. in Horticulture from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pant nagar, Uttarakhand. Her area of specialization includes Pomology, Postharvest technology, Olericulture and Floriculture. She was recipient of ICAR-JRF Fellowship in M.Sc.(Ag.) and also qualified ICAR-NET thrice. Dr Singh started her professional career in 2010 after earning her Ph.D. degree as Senior Research Fellow in Department of Vegetable Science, G.B.P.U.A.&T., Pant nagar under project entitled “Protected cultivation of high value vegetable and cut flowers- A value chain approaches” funded by NAIP (ICAR). Dr Singh was also worked as Research Associate in Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan (VPKAS), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Almora, Uttarakhand in project entitled “Quality Seed Production of Capsicum and Squash under Protected Conditions” funded by HMNEH MM-I (Horticulture Mission for North East & Himalayan States, Mini Mission-I). She has published 2 Books, 12 Book chapters, 45 Popular articles covering various aspects of Horticultural technologies in various magazines and more than 50 Research papers in peer reviewed UGC-CARE listed as well as NAAS rated scientific journals of International and National reputes. In recognition of her services to the scientific journal, the author was selected as Chief Editor, editorial board member, review board member and reviewer of several National and International journals. She has supervised and mentored 39 M.Sc. (Ag.) Horticulture students and under her guidance 7 Ph.D. scholars are enrolled.
