Dr. Kothiyal is a doctorate in Microbiology. Dr. Kothiyal works in the Department of B.MLT, School of Paramedical & Allied Health Sciences, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand India. He has good academic experience and has taught B.MLT/BPT/BMRIT/ B.OT/B.OPT/B.Sc Nursing/BNYS/M.sc. MLT courses.
He has published several research papers in high impact International/ National journals indexed in SCOPUS, Web of Science, UGC Care & NAAS., attended and participated various conferences, seminars, webinars, FDP, workshops etc. He has published 1 patents.
Dr. Kothiyal was honored with the Young Scientist Award 2024 in the 9th International Conference on “Current Approaches in Agricultural, Biological & Applied Sciences for Sustainable Development organized by Kumaun University, Nainital Uttarakhand for his outstanding contribution in the field of Microbiology.He is a lifetime member of the Agro-Environmental Development Society (AEDS) in India. He is a Registered Member under Uttarakhand Paramedical Council (REGISTRATION NUMBER- 940/660 MLT [R-1]).
The focus of his research is on natural substances that have antimicrobial properties and the identification of secondary natural compounds that have therapeutic potential. These findings are invaluable for the exploration of new drugs and pharmaceuticals.
