With the blessings of Honourable Chancellor sir and motivation and guigance of honourable Vice- chancellor sir, School of Education successfully organized Art and Craft exhibition in collaboration with Pidilite Fevicryl on February 22, 2024. B.Ed. I year students participated enthusiastically and displayed Art and Craft related items which were made by them during Art and Craft Workshop held from 11-17 December, 2023. The exhibition contained item related to tie and dye, Lippon art, Cut work, Mould work, Glass painting etc. Following members from Pidilite Industries were present to distribute certificates to successful students:

3) Vikash Kumar, TSI Pidilite Ind limited Dehradun

University Coordinator Dr. R. P. Singh, Dean Academics Prof. Kumud Saklani, Dean SAS Prof. Priyanka Bankoti, Dean SHSS Prof. Geeta Rawat, Dr. Asha Bala, were present to motivate our students.

Addressing the students, Dr. R. P. Singh said that arts and crafts provide a wealth of benefits for children, both in the short and long term. From developing problem solving skills to improving mental health, teamwork and communication skills, arts and crafts offer children a chance to learn and grow in a fun and creative environment.

Prof Kumud Saklani said Art and Craft are critical development tools. Making art encourages creativity, improves motor skills, and enhances self-esteem. It promotes communication and patience in young brains by providing a way of expression.

Dean School of Education Prof. Malvika Sati Kandpal said that Art & Craft can positively influence the education system if schools and parents let their children engage in the right way.
