With the Divine Blessings of Hon. President Mahant Shri Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences celebrated World Pharmacists Day on 25th Sep, 2024 on the theme “Pharmacists: Meeting Global Health Needs.” The event featured various activities, including a quiz and a poster competition on rise above Drug Addiction that highlighted the critical role of pharmacists in healthcare. A notable guest lecture was delivered by Mr. Ashish Uniyal, an esteemed alumnus currently with Sharon Biomedicines Ltd., sharing insights from his professional journey by a guest lecture on “Goods Documentation Practices”. First prize in Poster competition was secured by Ms Mitali Arora from Pharm. D 5th year. First position in quiz competition was bagged by team of Akshara pal and Sanjana from Pharm. D. 2nd year.
Additionally, a CPR training session was conducted by Mr. Sojan Thomas and his team from the School of Nursing, SGRRU, providing valuable life-saving skills to attendees. Hon’ble VC, Dr. Yasbhir Diwan & Registrar Dr. Ajay Kumar Kandhuri conveyed their best wishes and congratulated the team for their efforts. The event was marked by a speech from the Dean, Prof. Divya Juyal, who emphasized the vital role of pharmacists in society. The celebrations were well-coordinated by Mrs. Shaffi Khurana, Dr. Sudhakar Kaushik, Dr. Bhawana, and Mrs. Pallavi, ensuring the event's success and impact on all participants.
