Celebration of PCI sponsored Pharma Anveshan 2025

On March 6, 2025, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS) hosted Pharma Anveshan 2025, an event commemorating the birth anniversary of Professor Mahadeva Lal Schroff, regarded as the father of pharmacy education in India. The occasion was blessed by the Honorable President Mahant Shri Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj, with financial support and sponsorship from the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

The celebration was attended by over 250 participants, which included students, faculty members, industry experts, and distinguished personalities from both academia and the pharmaceutical industry. Prof. Divya Juyal, Dean SPS and Director IQAC, took the stage to highlight the monumental contributions of Prof. M.L. Schroff to the field of pharmacy education. She also offered guidance to students regarding the evolving opportunities and challenges in the pharmaceutical industry.

The event saw words of appreciation from Vice Chancellor Prof. Kumud Saklani, who congratulated the SPS team for their continued efforts in advancing the field of pharmaceutical sciences. A key speaker, Mr. Sandeep Narayan from Planet Herb, elaborated on the vital role of patents and intellectual property laws in the pharmaceutical sector, emphasizing how these legal frameworks help safeguard innovations.

Additionally, Mrs. Manisha Maiduly, Placement Coordinator at SGRRU, provided valuable insights on interview techniques, helping students prepare for future career opportunities. Mr. Tribhuwan Semwal from Unimedico Labs shared his perspective on the diverse career paths available within the pharmaceutical industry, stressing the importance of adaptability and skill-building.

Dr. Yogesh Joshi, the Head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice, delivered a talk on the rapidly growing world of pharmaceutical startups. He explored how entrepreneurship is shaping the future of pharmacy, and the opportunities it presents for budding professionals. Dr. Meenu, another expert at the event, focused on fostering innovation and the role of incubation centers in promoting novel ideas within the pharmaceutical industry.

The event was organized and coordinated by a dedicated team including Dr. Manish Mishra, Ms. Shaffi Khurana, Dr. Jyoti Kalra, Dr. Bhawana, and the students of the Sanjeevani Council. Their collective effort ensured the event was a success, making it a fitting tribute to the legacy of Prof. Mahadeva Lal Schroff. The discussions and interactions throughout the day fostered a greater understanding of entrepreneurship, innovation, and future career prospects in the pharmaceutical sector.
