“In making there is art and in art there is craft.”

In the first week of August 2023, 6 days (sessions) of Edu Art Curriculum (art and craft workshop) was organised at School of Education SGRR University, Pathri Bagh in collaboration with Pidilite Fevicryl Industries limited. It It was one week skill development workshop on experimentation with visual arts and crafts. 

The workshop was conducted for B.Ed. 2nd year students. Dr. Reena Jain( Fevicryl Expert Teacher) was the resource person. The students learnt different types forms of art and craft like Meenakari, Gond painting, velgode painting , tie and dye, coaster and jewellery box making, in her guidance. Students also learnt - what are the skills needed for such art and where we can find this out in our heritage.

On 29th August, 2023 an art and craft exhibition was organised by School of Education, SGRR University. Mr. Rakesh Agrawal (Area Marketing Development Manager of Pidlite Industries Limited) was the guest for the day. Dr Balbir Kaur (HOD/B.Ed.) welcomed the guest, Prof.(Dr.) M.S.Kandpal (Dean School of Education), Prof. (Dr.) Anand Kumar (HOD/ M.Ed) and other faculty members. 

Students displayed the items they have made and learnt during the 6 days workshop in the exhibition. The exhibits were attractive as they had been prepared and designed well by the students. The paintings, clay models, meenakari, jewellery box were of exceptionally high standard. Other articles like velgode painting, tie and dye material, gond painting and coasters were highly appreciated by the guests.

The certificate for completing six sessions of Edu Art Curriculum (workshop of art and craft) were also distributed to the students.

At last Prof.(Dr.) M.S. Kandpal (Dean, School of Education) thanked Mr. Rakesh Agarwal, the guest on behalf of the entire School of Education and appreciated students for such an amazing artwork. The entire program was a success.
