Brief Profile & Achievements
Dr. Prachi Nautiyal is a Doctorate in Environmental Science. Her functional area of research includes carbon sequestration, climate resilience, soil ecology and agriculture sustainability. She has done M.Sc. (Environmental Science) from GBPUA&T, Pantnagar and PhD (Environmental science) from Doon University, Dehradun. She possesses an experience of working in the Himalayan ecosystems specifically in the agro-ecosystems. She has qualified UGC-NET as well as ICAR-NET and has also worked as a senior research fellow (SRF) funded under NICRA scheme - ICAR. She is also conferred with PG Diploma in Environmental Law and Policy from WWF-India and National Law University, Delhi. Being a profound nature lover, she shows keen interest in bird watching and is an animal welfare activist (associated with Humane Society International-India).
Talking about the publications, her research publications also include international journals viz., Biocatalysis and Agricultural Biotechnology (Elsevier) and SN Applied Science (Springer Nature). Besides, she has a teaching experience of around three years including two academic years at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida (UP Government) and is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences, School of Basic and Applied Sciences, SGRRU, Dehradun.
