Growing interdisciplinary studies worldwide is a consequence of fast computing devices and easy access to knowledge and information through internet. Information technology has emerged as a new field in this era.

Courses

Department of IT is running the following course BSc (IT) 

1. Computer Labs equipped with original softwares.
2. All computer labs have original licensed Seqrite Endpoint Security antivirus 17 installed which automatically updates itself continuously from Symantec Corp Server.
3. Digital Electronics Lab to explore a wide variety of electronic concepts simply by sticking components into the breadboard useful in building and testing circuits when learning the subject.
4. Microprocessor Lab to give an understanding of INTEL 8085 Microprocessor architecture, assembly language programming and interfacing of different peripherals of 8085 Microprocessor.
5. Computer Centre has facility to access online Journals like IEEE, Jgate, Ebsco, Inflibnet etc.
6. NPTEL Resource Centre (Video Lectures by IIT Professors) in all areas of computer science.
7. WiFi enabled campus to access internet & share the network resources.
8. Classrooms and Computer labs are equipped with latest LCD projectors & OHP projectors for audio visual interaction & demonstration.
9. Internet facility available through 15 Mbps leased line internet connection through Wi- Fi.
10. Computer lab with power backup support through seven (07) centralised online UPS & 82 KVA generator.
11. Internet surfing facility provided to students free of cost throughout the day in the computer lab.

ACHIEVEMENTS

1. Many companies such as Accenture, Wipro, Spice and Cynotek technologies conducted placement drive on campus.
2. Most of BCA/B.Sc. (IT) students got selected in Accenture, TCS, Spice, Cynotech & Bassware etc.
3. Department has organized several workshops and guest lectures on various topics such as PHP and MySQL, Android and an IEEE workshop on online access of the journal.
4. Regular personality development programs and sessions conducted for MCA/BCA/B.Sc.(IT) students.
5. Papers presented by faculties at various national & international level seminars and conferences.
