Department of Zoology:
The Department of Zoology is a constituent entity of the School of Basic and Applied Sciences, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Since its inception in 2017, owing to the sustained efforts of the faculty members along with the untiring hard work of the employees under able leadership, the department has made steady progress in all spheres of higher learning.Over the years, the Department developed a strong academic and research base in the various fields of Zoology especially Aquatic biodiversity, Freshwater ecology, Fish Biology, and Biodiversity Conservation addressing both basic as well as applied research relevant regionally, nationally, and internationally. The faculty members/Research scholars/Students of the Department of Zoology have been honored with various Regional, National, and International Awards for academic & Research excellence.

The Department of Environmental Science is a constituent entity of the School of Basic and Applied Sciences, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Since its inception in 2020, owing to the untiring efforts made by the concerned staff and faculty members under able leadership, the department has been progressing in all spheres of higher learning.
