  • Curriculum Laboratory

    The Curriculum Lab connects students of teacher education programmes, faculty in the College of Education, and in-service teachers with educational resources.

  • This is an area where education majors and teachers-in-service can learn about existing curriculum programs and materials, keep current with new ideas in education, find help in designing programs to meet specific instructional problems, and become familiar with a wide range of children's literature. We view the Curriculum Lab as a laboratory where students and faculty meet to develop curriculum.  It is not designated as a quiet area; rather it is an active area where students can work together. 

  • The central library is the hub of information services in the educational Institute. It serves as a creative and innovative partner in supporting the teaching, learning, and research activities. Library of SGRR College of Education is situated inside the campus. Library of the College has an extensive collection of books, national and international journals and electronic reference materials for satisfying the academic and research needs of the students and faculty. 

  • Central Library
  • The Library consists of reference sections, circulation sections, audio-visual sections, periodical sections and digital libraries. Library functioning is fully automated, to provide effective and wide range of academic resources such as books, journals, online databases, DVDs and other useful materials. National newspapers in Hindi and English are subscribed in the central library. Students are also encouraged to use library facilities during their free hours.

Lecture Theaters

SGRR College of Education offer competitive infrastructure to its students. All classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to facilitate teaching and interactivity amongst faculty and students.

Classrooms are designed in a way to inculcate a sense of discipline and high quality learning, and are equipped with latest equipment for making presentations, lectures, debates and group discussions take place in the most convenient and enriching way.

  • Lecture Theaters are well –lit and have been using the Information and Communication Technology (ICT). It always makes the teaching effective with the help of overhead LCD projectors. Internet connectivity is also available in each lecture hall to allow the faculty members to incorporate the latest information while delivering the lectures.

  • Language Lab

    Keeping pace with the present era of globalization and the need for English language proficiency, the college has set up a language lab to facilitate correct use of phonetic accent and information for effective communication. Major objectives of language lab are to think and speak in English, to improve phonetic skills, to develop effective communication skills and to build confidence for effective conversation.

  • College also provides the facility of hostel. The hostel complex comprises of an elegant rooms equipped with all necessary equipment. Facility of geysers is also available for hot water during winters. It has an ultra-modern mess with hygienic & aesthetic dining hall. Hostel facility is available for female students only.

  • Medical Facilities

    SGRR College of Education provides adequate first aid medical facilities to the students and staff at its medical care Centre in the College premises. College also offers ambulance and medical service for the students and staff and takes utmost care in their emergent medical treatment in Sri Mahant Indresh Hospital, Patel Nagar, Dehradun, which is also a part of University.

  • Bank

    A branch of State Bank of India is available in the college campus for necessary banking facilities.

  • Art & Craft Resource Centre

    The College has a well-furnished Art & Craft Resource Centre that provides the students a space to express their aesthetic side and it is believed that canvas is the mode to express the inner feelings. It is said that colour speak for themselves. Art is soul of life; creativity is cultured with opportunities extended to the students in many forms.  This Resource Centre is used for many purposes e.g. conducting lectures for Art & Craft and preparation of painting by the students, for providing training in preparation of articles prescribed in the syllabus, for guidance in preparing the teaching aids of different teaching subjects and for practicing & improving black-board writing.
