Department of Undergraduate Studies

Overview

Department of Undergraduate Studies at SGRR College of Education offers a two year B.Ed. Programme.

Initiated in the year 2006, the B.Ed. Course has been started with a vision to impart in-depth knowledge of teacher education and prepare quality future teachers to build the nation strong. We also assist pupil teachers with time management, organizational strategies, skill development through practice teaching and EPC and other tools for success in college as well as in future perspectives.

A conscious effort has been made so that the curriculum helps the students specifically groomed for development of life skills, academic growth and to clear CTET/ State TET examination to become eligible for teaching profession.

Our mission is to provide a network of professional academic advisors and successful teachers who support students as they establish and realize their personal academic and carrier goals.

Beyond Academics

For overall student development and for giving competitive edge over others, specialized courses like personality development, communication skills, and computers are being taught. These courses dig out high order thinking skills (HOTS) through innovation and alternatives ideas in learning. In addition, we have a concept of inclusive classrooms for students with learning disabilities, so that they can also be a part of learning curve.

Student focused education is the core of the institutional ethos with optimal student progression through diversity, collaborative learning, learner autonomy, innovation and creativity. Participation in cultural and community activities are encouraged to ensure a value based education.
