SGRR University endeavors to impart quality pharmacy education to fulfill the requirements of the Pharmaceutical industry and health needs of society at large and achieve excellence in pharmaceutical research.
The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences was established in 1997 with a view to provide job oriented professional courses in Pharmacy. At present it is a unique centre of excellence at all levels of Pharmaceutical Education offering all courses in Pharmacy. At Diploma level it offers D. Pharm, at undergraduate level it offers B. Pharm, Pharm D. courses and at post-graduate Pharm D. (PB) courses and M. Pharm in five specializations of Pharmaceutical Science. These programs have the distinct objective of equipping the students with knowledge, skill, and attitude so as to make them capable of successfully meeting the present requirements and future challenges in the Pharmacy profession.
To meet the growing international demand, The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences carries a unique distinction of being only School in the entire state of Uttarakhand offering Pharm. D and M. Pharm Pharmacy Practice programs.
The Pharm.D program at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences gives a global edge to the students and enables the pharmacist to advise, consult, and help doctors in patients counselling. It is a six-year training based course wherein a student is exposed to actual pharmacy practice or clinical pharmacy services in hospital settings. Practical training is conducted at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, a 1500 bedded super specialty tertiary care Hospital funded by the parent body of the Institute. All programmes have been structured to match and exceed the requirements of the Pharmacy Council of India.
School is equipped with High-Tech Labs, Classrooms, Seminar halls, voluminous library, herbal garden, animal house facility, wifi campus with fully networked 24*7 the internet and modern computer laboratories.
