M.S. in Ophthalmology involves an advanced study of the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eye. One who practice such profession is called Ophthalmologist. An Ophthalmologist is a specialist in medical and surgical eye problems. This course covers various subjects like Gross anatomy, Orbital and Ocular Anatomy, Histology, Ocular Pathology, Ocular Physiology, Biochemistry, Immunology and Microbiology with the aim to develop a strong scientific understanding of the fundamentals of ophthalmology, fundamental business and managerial skills, broad surgical experience, clinical skills in all subspecialties of ophthalmology and a thorough comprehension of ethical, legal, and moral issues required in eye care and medical care.
